» Assessment of the acid impact on the service life of the flexible pipes for coiled tubing
Coiled tubing is one of the advanced repair technologies in the oil and gas industry, which main feature is application of flexible pipes. The service life of the flexible pipe is an important factor that shall be continuously assessed during the unit operation. There is much tension around the issue of corrosion failure due to application of various chemical agents, especially acid compositions for bottom-hole formation zone treatment using a coiled tubing unit.

» Main principles of dialogue systems development for process monitoring of repair works on main gas pipelines
The principles for program implementation of mathematical description of construction and installation works performance during repair of the main gas pipelines linear part are described: necessary calculations plan formation description of technical support assessment of calculation results; restoration of functionalities, etc. It is demonstrated that a complex sequence of process operations performance is impossible without using modern high-performance personal computers. Connection of a personal computer to a terminal server gives certain advantages to an engineering user: reduce administration costs; enhance security; reduce software and hardware costs; reduce electric power consumption.

» Research into rheological characteristics and water tapping of lightweight cementing slurry with expanded vermiculite lightweight
The article is dedicated to application of expanded vermiculite in lightweight plugging materials to reduce the slurry density. The article deals with the effect of the expanded vermiculite on rheological characteristics of cementing slurry. The thickening time, spreadability and water trapping dependencies given different concentrations of the expanded vermiculite are studied.

» Improvement of the roller drill bit cutting structure geometry for soft rock drilling
Operation of the roller drilling tool teeth cutting structure was analyzed in slippage and braking modes. On the basis of this analysis, the values of the cutting structure follower rows slippage were identified enabling to enhance efficiency of soft rocks destruction with the drilling tool teeth.

» Methods for cost optimization when selecting the horizontal axis wind turbines for wind farm
This paper is the continuation of researches into the theoretical bases of the wind power performed by the Department of Thermodynamics and Heat Engines of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) under the program «Energy Saving Technologies for Gas Transportation Systems». It deals with the development of the cost minimization methods when selecting the horizontal axis wind turbines for placing at the wind farm provided that there is no aerodynamic shading.

» Development of the methods for hydraulic calculation of the jetting device preventing oil bottom deposits formation in vertical steel tanks
The article describes operation of tanks fleet as a complex set of process operations including prevention of accumulations and jetting of bottom deposits in vertical steel tanks. The deficiencies of the well-known and the most common devices preserving the tank net volume at a preset level are highlighted, and the advantages of the developed system for funnel jetting of bottom deposits are summarized. The developed methods for hydraulic calculation of the patented device are described that are based on compliance with the electrostatic safety conditions when filling the tank, as well as with the permissible cyclic impacts on its walls during operation together with assurance of maximum efficiency during jetting (formation prevention) of oil bottom deposits.

» Oil treatment without preliminary heating using the sewage water washing method
Since 2007 all oil extracted has been sold by Tatneft JSC in accordance with the quality group 1 according to GOST R 51858-2002. Search and implementation of energy efficient technologies of oil dehydration and desalting are the most prospective directions in this area. The article describes the technology that allows for intensifying separation of oil-field water during «cold settling» on preliminary water removal units where preliminary water discharge is carried out by oil heating. It enables to significantly reduce operational costs of oil treatment by reducing the volume of fuel being consumed.

» Physical processes in the fitting during electrofusion welding
Actions of the operator prescribed for performing electrofusion welding [4, 5] and even specifics of these actions for welding unusual fittings  are conceptually clear. However, in practice the bigger part of problems occur from negligent performance of these actions by the operator. Such negligent performance is resulted particularly from imperfect understanding of the processes taking place between the fitting and the pipe during the welding process

» Analysis of the intensity waterflood influence on oil recovery upper jurassic reservoir
The analysis of the influence of the intensity of flooding on oil recovery from Upper Jurassic reservoirs. We prove that the over compensation instead of selections can lead to negative consequences, and under compensation admissible in the initial stages of development. The analysis of the effectiveness of flooding on the example of the Novo-Pokurskoe field.

» International practice to ensure safety of hazardous industrial facilities of oil and gas fields
On the basis of official reporting safety level of oil and gas fields facilities is compared for Russian and Western oil companies. Russian companies say that organizational causes but not technical ones are the major cause of higher incidence and environmental pollution level. Individual elements of the international practice to ensure safe operation of oil-field facilities as regards standards and regulatory documentation, organizational approaches and risk management. For managers and petroleum engineers engaged in the design and operation of surface oil field and other infrastructure facilities, specialists in the area of risk assessment, industrial safety and environmental protection, assets feasibility study.

» Analysis of the standard technical documents requirements using the technological risk assessments
A methodology is stated for assessing the technological risk, which size can be used to compare, by safety criteria, different approaches to the main technical solutions obtained when designing the main gas pipelines, for example, description of the gas pipelines wall thickness in the standard technical documents. It is demonstrated that we cannot draw a definite conclusion on better or worse feasibility of the methods stated in the Russian and foreign standard technical documents without using the operation safety analysis of pipelines designed according to the documents. An American principle for assigning design factors based on the population and building density location classification is not comparable, from the expert point of view, with the principles of using the differentiate indices, included in the Russian standards, together with the regulation of the minimum distances from the gas pipeline to other facilities and structures. A possible approach to comparison of these methods is given on the basis of the quantitative assessment of technological risk.
