In the current economic conditions, the use of domestic software becomes relevant for the process simulation for hydrocarbon processing of raw hydrocarbons. One of the reasons for considering the possibility of using domestic software is its relatively low cost, including low cost of ownership. Thе article considers examples illustrating the possibilities of using domestic GIBBS software and provides comparisons of the results obtained with modeling data on import HYSYS software with experimental or factual data. In considered examples, the emphasis is made on comparison of simulation results, not on the technological features of separate production facilities. In some cases, the use of the Aspen HYSYS analogues for modeling of field processing, used in the Russian gas industry, gives less good results than the use of domestic software. The main reason is technological differences in domestic and foreign practice of treatment and processing of natural gas and gas condensate. Taking into account that GIBBS software is successfully used for process simulation of the existing and projected condensate stabilizer units and condensate processing plants, the natural gas liquefaction, the low temperature separation of ethane, C3+ fractions, nitrogen and helium from natural gas, it can be successfully used along with Aspen HYSYS for modeling plants of complex field gas treatment and low-temperature separation units. The use of GIBBS software allows to automate virtually all stages of engineering work and minimize the work time and labor expenditures, as well as the explicit costs.
